2007 Delaware Regional - Parking Information
Evening Parking - DoubleTree Hotel parking fee is $3.00 for vehicles entering after 5:00 p.m. No vouchers will be given; the driver is responsible for the entire $3.00 fee. There will be more than enough parking available in this garage on evenings and weekends.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday during the day - The DoubleTree Hotel will accommodate 80 to 85 vehicles on these days during between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. When the DoubleTree garage is full drivers will be directed to the Courthouse garage, on the same side of King Street, one-half block past the DoubleTree.
A special tournament daily charge will be $5.00 all day at either the DoubleTree Hotel or Courthouse lot. The driver must come to the Parking Table for a validation coupon. The coupons are different for each parking garage and are not useable at any other garages or lots.
At the Courthouse there are two payment machines at the walking entrance. The driver first inserts the parking ticket, the machine shows the regular fee ($10.00), then the driver inserts the coupon and the fee shown is reduced to $5.00. This $5.00 has to be paid in cash or with a credit card. At the exit gates, only credit cards can be used for payment (Master Card, VISA, or American Express only).
NOTE: The Courthouse garage will be closed at 12:00 midnight on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Any extra charge to get a vehicle out of the garage after midnight is the responsibility of the driver.
To pay at the DoubleTree garage, the driver proceeds to the exit gate. There the parking ticket is inserted in the machine and the regular $8.00 fee is displayed. Then the driver inserts the coupon and the display shows $5.00 owed. This $5.00 has to be paid by the driver.
Saturday Parking - There will be plenty of parking spaces at the DoubleTree Hotel. With a validation coupon from the Parking Table the cost will be $3.00 for the entire day. This is a special rate for the bridge tournament only; without the coupon the driver will have to pay the regular $8.00 parking fee at the exit gate.
No validation coupons will be given for parking at the Courthouse garage.
Sunday Parking - The DoubleTree Hotel garage exit gates will be locked in the open position and there are plenty of parking spaces available. The Courthouse garage is not open on Sunday.
Note for DoubleTree Hotel Overnight Guests: The hotel has a seperate contract with the Wilmington Parking Authority for its guests to park in the garage attached to the hotel. Overnight hotel guests have the parking fee on their hotel bill and tournament vouchers are not valid.
